Laura & Darran's Sunshine-Filled Wedding at Hogarths Stone Manor

Some couples radiate pure joy, and Laura and Darran are precisely that kind of couple. As Laura told me during our planning, "We are best friends. We laugh. A lot." - and that infectious happiness was evident from the moment I arrived at the stunning wedding house on their perfect big day.

A Perfect Spring Day

The day began with brilliant sunshine streaming through the rooms as I started photographing the wedding preparations alongside Laura's incredible team of eight bridesmaids. The energy was filled with excitement, laughter, and those precious moments of getting ready that set the tone for the entire celebration at this fantastic venue.

Natural Moments & Genuine Joy

As a recommended photographer at Stone Manor, I know how to work with couples who prefer natural moments. Knowing that Darran was camera-shy, I adopted a documentary approach, staying unobtrusive while capturing their authentic personalities. Laura's love for candid photography made creating these memories a delight, as every genuine laugh and spontaneous moment was precisely what she wanted preserved.

The ceremony took place in the stunning pump room, with the elegant grounds providing the perfect backdrop. Watching these two best friends promise to be together forever, surrounded by their closest family and friends, was truly magical.

Creative Magic in the Golden Hour

One of the highlights was creating those timeless portraits on the wooden bench nestled in the gardens. The blue hour sky and off-camera lighting combined with the venue's picturesque location allowed us to craft some truly romantic shots that perfectly captured their connection as they began married life together.

But perhaps my favourite moment was the smoke bomb shot with Laura and her bridesmaids. Dressed in elegant grey gowns, they created pure magic against the lush green backdrop of the grounds. The teal smoke billowing around them while they celebrated together created one of those stunning images that becomes a conversation piece.

Celebrating Their Special Day

The confetti shot after their ceremony perfectly captured the joy and beauty of the moment - Laura's genuine surprise and delight as biodegradable confetti filled the air around them. Her authentic reaction and Darran's protective, loving presence beside her told their story beautifully against the decorated ceremony space.

The celebration flowed seamlessly from their 3 pm ceremony through to the evening entertainment, with little Carter (their 16-month-old son) stealing hearts as the most adorable page boy alongside Darran's eldest son, Reegan, as best man. The facilities at this lovely venue provided the perfect setting for every part of their day.
