Tracey Gets Ready with Jess, Tia and Ella
The day began with the bridal party getting ready in one of Hogarths Stone Manor's bright rooms. Tracey was joined by her maid of honour, Jess Ayres, and her daughters, Tia and Ella. Sun streamed through the windows. It lit the details of Tracey's dress and the happy faces around her. I photographed the final touches of make-up and an emotional first look with her parents. Those moments set the tone for the day.
Photographing the Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony took place at St Cassian's Church in Chaddesley Corbett near Kidderminster. As Tracey arrived in a white Rolls Royce, the anticipation grew. The church's historic architecture made a fitting backdrop for Stuart and Tracey's vows. The presence of family and friends and the couple’s personal touches made the ceremony profoundly personal and moving. The smiles, tears and laughter made it a moving ceremony to photograph.
Group Photos at the Tudor-Style Frontage
After the church ceremony, we returned to Hogarths Stone Manor for the group and family photos. The Tudor-style frontage made a classic backdrop. The walled garden added colour with its flowers and lawns. Everyone was in high spirits, so the group shots ran smoothly.
Stuart and Tracey's Sunny Portraits
The couple's portrait session was a highlight of the day. One spot was the Garden Room, a light function room away from the main hotel with views over the gardens. We also used the manor house frontage and the garden paths. Bright, warm sunshine helped. The portraits show how relaxed Stuart and Tracey were together.
Speeches and the Wedding Breakfast
The wedding breakfast was held in the hotel’s elegant dining room, where guests enjoyed the meal and heartfelt speeches. Floral arrangements on every table made the room warm and inviting. The candid reactions during the speeches, from laughter to tears, are some of my favourite images from the day. Another highlight was The Mystery Guest, Stephen Seabourne, performing close-up tricks as he mingled with guests.
Stuart and Tracey's First Dance and Evening Party
As the evening went on, Stuart and Tracey cut their cake, shared their first dance and opened the evening reception. Alternating between the DJ and the live band kept the energy high, and the dance floor stayed full.
Night Time Creative Wedding Photos
The night ended with creative night photography around the grounds. I used the manor's architecture and off-camera flash to make portraits for their wedding album. Highlights include Stuart and Tracey surrounded by flash-lit bubbles and spraying champagne. Coloured gels lit up the trees as a dramatic backdrop. The photos reflect the playful spirit of their day.
