Nicola got ready in one of the suites at Hogarths Stone Manor Hotel. Her bridesmaid Hannah Grove and her closest friends were with her. Morning sun streamed through the windows, and the room was full of laughter. I photographed Nicola's candid moments and the details: her dress, her jewellery and the final touches of make-up.
Photographing the Outdoor Ceremony in the Old Pump Rooms
The ceremony was outdoors in the Old Pump Rooms, a space with plenty of history and rustic character. The sun shone throughout. Rory was visibly moved as Nicola walked down the aisle, and I caught the moment he fought back tears. Heartfelt vows and readings, with their closest family and friends around them, made it an intimate ceremony.
Formal Group and Family Photos in the Walled Garden
After the ceremony, the celebration moved to the Walled Garden, with its flower borders and neat hedges. It's an easy space for drinks, garden games and group photos. The confetti moment was a highlight, with guests showering Nicola and Rory in coloured petals. We also took family and group photos, including fun shots with the groomsmen, Tom and Ollie, and the bridal party.

We took Nicola and Rory's couple portraits across the manor's grounds in the sunshine. As ballroom and Latin dancers, they moved and posed naturally, which made my job easy. We worked from the Walled Garden to the front of the historic manor house. Late-afternoon golden light gave the portraits a warm glow.

The Garden Room at Stone Manor hosted the wedding breakfast and speeches. Its large windows look out across the gardens, and the mood was relaxed. The speeches mixed humour and heartfelt moments. Rory's emotional words to Nicola stood out. I focused on the reactions: the laughter, the teary eyes and the glances between them.
Cake Cutting, First Dance, and Evening Reception.
The evening reception began with a DJ from Blue Diamond Entertainment, and the dance floor filled quickly. Nicola and Rory's first dance blended ballroom and Latin styles, and it was a joy to photograph. Their footwork and timing made it the show-stopping moment of the night.
Night Time Creative Photos: Smoke, Bubbles, and Champagne!
Once the sun set, it was time for some creative photography! I used smoke, bubbles, and colour gels to create dramatic nighttime shots. One of the standout moments was the champagne spraying, with Nicola and Rory laughing and celebrating under the moonlight. The bubbles added a whimsical touch, while the coloured gels created beautiful silhouettes against the manor's backdrop. These photos added a unique and fun twist to their wedding album, showcasing their relationship's playful and dynamic side.
