Keren and Adam married at Hogarths Stone Manor, the country house hotel on the edge of Kidderminster in Worcestershire. Cloud and sunny spells all day gave soft, even light for the ceremony and portraits. As their Hogarths Stone Manor wedding photographer, I covered the day from the outdoor ceremony to the evening entertainment. The venue sits in 27 acres of landscaped grounds, and we used plenty of them.
Why Keren and Adam Chose Hogarths Stone Manor
Hogarths Stone Manor is a hotel just outside Kidderminster. It has landscaped gardens, a walled garden and the Garden Room for receptions. Keren and Adam wanted one place for an outdoor civil ceremony and their evening party, and the venue covers both. The house pairs Tudor-style timber framing with modern interiors.
The Story of Keren and Adam’s Wedding Day
Bridal and Groom Preparation Photos
The day began in two of Hogarths Stone Manor's rooms, where Keren and Adam got ready separately. Keren's bridesmaids, led by Carol Haynes-Jones, shared laughter and calm moments with her. Meanwhile, Adam and his best man, Thomas Everett, suited up and joked to ease the nerves. Those quiet, happy moments set the tone for the rest of the day.
Photographing the Outdoor Civil Ceremony
Keren and Adam's outdoor ceremony took place in the Pump Rooms. Family and friends surrounded them as they exchanged vows. Soft light filtered through the clouds and kept the mood calm. The landscaped gardens framed every shot.
Family Groups in the Walled Garden
After the ceremony we moved to the walled garden for the formal group and family photos. Its hedges and flower borders gave a colourful, tidy backdrop. We worked through close family first, then the full bridal party. Between the posed groups I photographed the laughter and hugs as they happened.
Keren and Adam's Portraits Under Soft Cloud
For couple portraits we used the stone paths, the open lawns and a few quieter corners of the 27-acre grounds. The cloud acted like a giant softbox, so the light was flattering in every direction. Keren and Adam relaxed quickly, which made the portraits look natural rather than posed.
Speeches from Thomas and Carol
The wedding breakfast was in the Garden Room, followed by the speeches. Thomas Everett and Carol Haynes-Jones both spoke, and their words brought tears and plenty of laughter. I photographed the speakers and, just as importantly, Keren and Adam's faces as they listened.
Keren and Adam's First Dance and Evening Party
As the evening began, Keren and Adam cut their cake and headed to the dance floor for their first dance. The Garden Room became a lively party space. Blue Diamond Entertainments provided the entertainment. Their DJ kept every guest dancing.
Smoke Bomb Photos with the Bridal Party
One of the highlights of the evening was the creative smoke bomb photos with the bridal party. Using vibrant colors, these fun and dynamic shots showcased the group’s energy and excitement. They were a hit, adding a playful and modern twist to the wedding album.
Nighttime Creative Photos
To close the day, I made a series of night portraits with coloured gels, off-camera flash and confetti. They're dramatic and romantic. They show Hogarths Stone Manor in a completely different light under the night sky.
Keren and Adam's Day in Summary
Keren and Adam's wedding at Hogarths Stone Manor began with an outdoor ceremony in the Pump Rooms. Group photos in the walled garden, speeches in the Garden Room and creative portraits after dark followed. The soft cloud helped all day, and the couple's ease in front of the camera did the rest.
