Today's church was first used for Mass in August 1823 and was called All Saints Church. When the church was consecrated in 1891, a saint's name had to be added. So the church was dedicated to St. Chad and All Saints.

Over many years, sixteen parish priests and many assistant priests have been at the church.

On my last visit, the priest was very friendly and helpful before and during the service. The church is lovely for weddings and the inside is beautiful for wedding photographers.
